OUR 2016 Retreat was a beautiful week together with 12 wonderful women. Full of laughter, tears and amazing musical collaborations - we are thrilled to announce we will be offering this experience again in 2017. DATES TO BE CONFIRMED. Please contact us for more information and we will update the details here on our website ASAP.
Nourish ‘You’ is about sharing a beautiful week with like-minded women in Ubud, Bali. Take time out for yourself, to re-calibrate, relax and explore Authenticity, Simplicity, Gratitude, Beauty and Open-Heartedness. We invite you into a more nourishing relationship with yourself and others through:
Daily singing sessions with Betsy - fabulous contemporary, world music and indigenous songs with gorgeous harmonies, exploring your voice, what it means to you to express yourself through singing as well as working together as a group to improve your skills and confidence. Whether or not you consider yourself a singer, you will discover a deeply important part of who you are as you immerse yourself in song and bring your music to the surface and out into the world.
Yoga - We are excited to announce the lovely Gillian Pereira as our delightful Cello playing, singing Yoga teacher! Gillian is participating in the retreat and we are delighted that she has agreed to facilitate our morning Yoga sessions. She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance and a graduate of Trinity Yoga (Vinyasa Flow). Rest assured if you have never attempted Yoga before, Gillian will help you feel at ease and the the sessions will be gentle!
Group sessions facilitated by Betsy Hanson and Milinda Rodziewicz - through sitting together in a lovely circle, sipping tea, crazy good Indo coffee or a coconut, we will have some thought-provoking discussions and honest chin-wags about authenticity, beauty, music, creativity, feeling good and learn a little more how to ask ourselves better questions in order to move through life's sticky moments! Sharing our collective experiences and wisdom (and hilarious now, but not so funny when it happened moments!) we will no doubt come away with some great new ideas/thoughts/tools that will support us in our individual journeys.
Gentle conversations and no doubt some robust, hilarious ones too with your new friends, we will have plenty of time to relax around the pool or the dining table to have some great chats. For those who only have the week in Ubud, we will have some free time for you to go off on your own adventure one afternoon!
Meditation/relaxation - Every evening to help you sleep we will guide you through some lovely meditation and relaxation with different sound experiences.
You will be completely free to participate how and when you like. If you just want to bring a sketchpad and zone out by the pool for hours on end - you feel free! This is about nourishing yourself and whatever you need to choose to do in any moment is yours. There is a "no pressure" philosophy always and every activity is by invitation. Yay!

About Your Team
Betsy Hanson - Facilitator
Betsy will be your Workshop Facilitator and Queen Song-lady and keep you giggling and having a great time. Singing sessions will be fun, informative, harmonious, uplifting and sometimes hilarious. Contemporary and world music will be the focus, but other genres and activities will also come into play. We will play with music and work together to create a very special week of connected singing. Gentle reminder - I believe everyone can sing and that all we need to do is peel back the layers and gently remove the resistance and cruddy stories we have about our singing voices, (and like any art, improve by learning new skills, making mistakes and correcting them and practice too!)
Betsy has been leading choirs, running singing workshops, creating vocal arrangements and creating fun, harmonious experiences for over 15 years. As a musician she has played in bands, solo and also mentors high school students and Asylum Seekers.
Milinda Rodziewicz - Facilitator
Milinda will co-facilitate group sessions with Betsy, exploring Authenticity, Gratitude, Open Heartedness, Beauty and our Power as women. During her 20 years working in the health industry as a Massage Therapist, Milinda has combined and practiced Massage with the art of compassionate listening and incisive questioning which has developed into what she calls courageous conversations. These conversations open people up to new possibilities, deeper truths and greater insight. She is down to earth, authentic to the core AND also an awesome carnival drummer and about to publish her first children's book!!
Jan Boyanich - Event Co-ordinator
Jan will organise everything, answer your questions and look after you, before and during the retreat. She will also set you at ease, sing like an angel and be your go-to gal. Jan has sung with Jazz musicians, Nourish Choir and an acapella quartet as well as co-ordinating events, open-mic sessions and is a whizz bang administrator. She is happiest when joining all the dots, being so full of ideas and seeing it all come together! Creative and organised - what a combo!
